He is the founder of ECOBUILD, a company that provides engineering and consultancy services in the field of sustainable building materials, green buildings and urbanism both at home and abroad.

 

He graduated from METU, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, and then completed his MBA in Business Administration.

 

He has taken part in many projects in Turkey and abroad, mainly in the fields of environmentally sensitive construction, building and infrastructure construction, urban-regional planning, green buildings and green infrastructure.

 

He has contributed to numerous projects as a technical expert on Green Building Applications, Green City and Regional Planning, SECAP, Climate Adaptation, Integrated Water Management, Zoning Plans, Urban Design, Sustainable Transportation Studies and Architectural Projects and has been a manager in a significant portion of them. He has served as a key expert on sustainable urbanism and integrated water management in World Bank projects.

 

Between 1999 and 2009, he worked in the public sector as Head of the Department of Information Technologies, Research and Projects and Construction Department.

Murat DOĞRU has served as a jury member in many national and international competitions in the fields of Sustainable Urbanism, Historical Protection and Architecture. He served as the Ankara Cultural and Natural Heritage Protection Regional Board and UKOME Institution Representative Member.

 

He is a graduate of exchange programs run by the US Department of State and has also served as a manager in these programs.

 

In his field of expertise, he has presented more than 90 international papers in Turkey, the USA, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Korea, Croatia, China, Russia and the United Arab Emirates, and has given lectures on sustainable buildings, infrastructures and cities as a visiting scholar at more than 40 universities in Turkey and abroad.
